Custom sanding belts: what to send us
On this page
The more detail you give, the faster we can quote custom sanding belts. Please include:
- Width and length. Measure an old belt laid flat, or check the machine manual. For example 6? × 108? or 2-1/2? × 14?.
- Grit. The grit you use now, or the job you are doing if you are not sure.
- Grain. Aluminum oxide, ceramic, or non-woven, if you know it.
- Backing. Cloth weight or paper, if you have a preference.
- Machine. The make and model of the sander or grinder the belt runs on.
- Quantity. How many belts you need now, and how many you expect to use.

Common questions about custom sanding belts
How long do custom belts take?
It depends on the size, grain and quantity. We will confirm availability and lead time when we quote.
Is there a minimum order?
Ask us. Some sizes and grains are easier to supply in small quantities than others, and we will tell you up front.
Can you match a belt I already use?
Usually, yes. Send us the details printed on the back of the belt, or a photo, and we will work from that. Manufacturer information is also available from makers such as VSM.
