Calgary-based · hundreds of Sia SKUs in stock · same-day shipping
For more than a century, Sia has built a reputation as one of Europe’s most precise industrial abrasives manufacturers. Today, IBEX Enterprises stocks the deepest Sia catalog in Western Canada — Siaspeed sanding discs, Siabite belts, Siaair non-woven wheels, and the rest of the Sia consumables your shop floor runs through every week.
If you’re spec’ing abrasives for a furniture shop, an auto-body operation, a metal fabricator, or a high-end finishing line, this is the catalog. Order before 2 PM Mountain and most of Western Canada has it on the loading dock the next business day.
Why we carry Sia
We stock Sia because three things are true about it that aren’t true about every alternative:
Consistency between batches. When you spec a 220-grit Siaspeed disc for your finishing line, the next box performs exactly like the last. That matters when you’re matching a finish across hundreds of pieces or running a production line where deviation costs you in rework.
The pattern compatibility actually works. Siaspeed discs are engineered to fit the major hole patterns — Festool 49-hole, Mirka multi-hole, no-hole — without the dust-extraction degradation you see on cheaper alternatives. The vacuum hole alignment is precise enough that you don’t lose suction performance on a CT-26 or a DEROS.
The grits hold up. Sia’s resin-bond systems are why their discs cut consistently from the first pass through the last 20% of disc life. Cheaper discs front-load their performance — they cut fast for the first ten minutes and then glaze. Sia is the opposite, and on a 100-disc box that adds up.
What we stock
Siaspeed (sanding discs)
The flagship coated abrasive line — 5-inch and 6-inch discs in grits from 40 through 1500, in hook-and-loop and PSA, with hole patterns for Festool, Mirka, multi-hole, and no-hole tools. Used for fine finishing on wood, primer and paint sanding in auto-body, and intermediate steps in metal finishing.
- 5″ Siaspeed 1948 — 80, 120, 180, 220 grit, multi-hole pattern (100/box)
- 6″ Siaspeed 1950 — full grit range, 49-hole Festool pattern (100/box)
- 6″ Siaspeed 1950 no-hole — for backing pads without dust extraction (100/box)
Siabite (sanding belts)
For benchtop sanders, edge sanders, and wide-belt machines. Siabite belts use a tougher backing than Siaspeed and are built for sustained metal-removal work. Available in standard belt sizes plus custom sizes via our Custom Belt Order Form — turnaround on custom is typically 7–10 business days.
Siaair (non-woven finishing wheels)
The non-woven nylon product — wheels for surface conditioning, satin finishing, and deburring. We stock 4-inch and 6-inch wheels in coarse, medium, fine, and very-fine grades.
Siatop / Siasponge (specialty abrasives)
For corner sanding, profile sanding, and detail finishing. Sponge-backed grit blocks that conform to non-flat surfaces — used heavily in cabinet shops and auto-body filler work.

- Stainless steel satin finish: Siaair non-woven wheels, fine to very-fine grade

Frequently asked questions
Do you stock the full Sia range?
We carry the deepest Sia catalog in Western Canada — Siaspeed discs, Siabite belts, Siaair wheels, and the Siatop/Siasponge specialty lines. If a Sia SKU isn’t on the site, call us with the part number and we’ll confirm availability and lead time.
Do Sia discs fit Festool sanders?
Sia’s Siaspeed 1950 line is engineered with the 49-hole Festool dust-extraction pattern and works on every Festool ETS, RO, and ETS EC sander we’ve tested.
What’s the difference between Siaspeed 1948 and 1950?
1948 is the multi-hole-compatible version. 1950 is the dedicated Festool 49-hole version. If you have a Festool, use 1950 — the dust extraction is noticeably better.
