Reading the Blade Code
Festool names its blades by type and size. In a code such as S 105/4, the first number is the blade length in millimetres and the second is the tooth pitch in millimetres. As a rule, choose a finer pitch for thin material, metal and clean edges, and a coarser pitch for fast cuts in thick wood. Pick a blade long enough to clear the bottom of the material on every stroke.
