Where It Fits in the Grit Sequence
P120 is a general grit for levelling drywall joints and sanding plaster and filler after coarser work. It removes P80 scratches. Follow with P150 or P180 where the wall will get a smooth paint finish.
Who Uses It
Drywall finishers, painters and renovation crews use the Festool 205657 on walls and ceilings. Typical work includes plaster, dispersion filler and drywall compound, levelling drywall joints, and sanding old paint and varnish. Extraction through the perforations reduces clogging and helps the disc last, and it keeps the room cleaner when the PLANEX is connected to a Festool dust extractor.
Tips for Best Results
Let the weight of the PLANEX head do the work and keep the pad flat on the wall, so it does not dig in at the edges. Work in overlapping passes and check the surface with a work light held at a low angle. Change the disc when it stops cutting cleanly or when compound builds up on it. Store packs flat and dry.
