The Festool RTS 400 REQ-Plus US (Item No. 576054) is a compact and lightweight 5″ rectangular orbital sander designed for fine sanding tasks. Weighing only 2.4 lbs (1.1 kg), it is ideal for one-handed operation, vertical surfaces, and overhead work.​

Equipped with a 250-watt motor and MMC (Multi-Material Control) electronics, the sander maintains consistent speed under load and offers variable speed control ranging from 6,000 to 12,000 RPM. The fine 1/16″ (2 mm) sanding stroke ensures exceptional surface quality.​

The RTS 400 REQ-Plus features a rectangular 3-5/32″ x 5-1/4″ (80 x 133 mm) StickFix sanding pad, allowing for efficient sanding in corners and along edges. The ergonomic design with rubberized grip surfaces ensures comfortable handling, while the balanced Vibration-Stop (VS) system minimizes fatigue during extended use.​

For dust management, the sander includes a long-life dust bag and is compatible with Festool’s dust extractors via the interlocking dust port, promoting a cleaner work environment.​

The RTS 400 REQ-Plus US comes with a StickFix Soft Sander Backing Pad (80 x 133 mm), edge protector, long-life dust bag, plug-it power cable (4 m), and is housed in a Systainer SYS3 M 187 for organized storage and transport.
