This 6 inch, 320 grit 1948 siaflex sanding disc with a 57-hole pattern is part number Sia 1520.4046.0320.
It is a versatile all-round disc on a highly flexible latex paper backing, sold 100 discs per box. Sia rates 1948 siaflex for high stock removal, long life and a good finish.

Where 320 Grit Fits
Use 320 grit for fine sanding of primer filler and keying lacquer. Follow with 400 grit. The disc runs on 6 inch random orbital and orbital sanders, and the 57-hole pattern lets dust extraction pull dust through the disc. Match it to a pad with a suitable hole pattern for the best extraction.
Who Uses It
Auto body shops, aerospace refinishers, painters and interior finishers use 1948 siaflex. Sia lists it for body filler, primer filler, lacquer and old lacquer, paint, primers, GRP and composites, polyester gelcoat, aluminum, steel, plastics and wood. It is not made for glass sanding or stone grinding.
Tips for Better Results
Keep pressure light and the pad flat, and work through the grits one step at a time. When wet sanding, keep the surface wet and wipe off the slurry often so you can check progress. When sanding dry, connect a dust extractor to keep the holes clear. Replace the disc once it stops cutting, and wear eye protection and a dust mask.
