The Sia 7285.4325.0800 is a 1948 siaflex 6 inch (150 mm) hook and loop sanding disc in P800 grit, packed 50 discs to a box. Siaflex 1948 is Sia’s flexible all-round line for wet and dry sanding, and this ultra fine grit is a good choice for keying lacquer and removing orange peel and dust inclusions.

Where It Fits in the Grit Sequence

P800 removes orange peel and dust inclusions from cured lacquer and keys surfaces for blending. It follows P600. Follow with P1000 before polishing so the polishing step has only a fine scratch to remove.

Tips for Best Results

Keep pressure light and let the abrasive cut, so the disc stays flat and the scratch stays even. Do not skip more than one grit step at a time. When wet sanding, keep the surface wet and wipe off the slurry often to check progress. Replace the disc as soon as it stops cutting cleanly, because a worn disc only polishes and builds heat. Store boxes flat in a dry place so the discs do not curl.
