Festool 204083 CT-VA 20 Cyclone Dust Pre-Separator
The Festool 204083 is the CT-VA 20, a cyclone pre-separator that sits between the tool and a Festool CT 26, CT 36 or CT 48 dust extractor. It separates most of the debris before it reaches the extractor, so high dust loads are easier to handle and quick to dispose of.
Features and Specifications
- Separation: up to 80% of mineral dust and up to 95% of coarse particles such as sawing chips
- Container: 20 litre (5.3 gallon) transparent, stackable collection container with grips
- Fits: CT 26, CT 36 and CT 48, with or without AUTOCLEAN
- Connection: T-LOC and SYS-Dock to the extractor, plus an additional socket for hoses and tools
- Antistatic: antistatic function

Where It Fits
Use the Festool 204083 for large volumes of fine mineral dust from diamond grinders and renovation milling, or large volumes of chips from sawing, planing and routing. It is approved for dust classes L and M. Festool notes it cannot be used with the LHS 225 EQ, where it blocks the suction support.
Who Uses It
Renovation and concrete crews, flooring installers, cabinet shops and site carpenters use a pre-separator when a job makes more debris than a filter bag can handle efficiently.
Tips for Use
Empty the container before it is full, using the disposal bag to keep dust contained. Keep a filter bag in the extractor as a second stage. The modular design comes apart for cleaning, so clear any buildup in the cyclone after very dusty jobs.
