How It Works

The preload clip is inserted shortly before assembly. It preloads the connector spring so less force is needed to close the joint, and it increases lateral tolerance, which makes it easier to assemble larger parts with several connectors in a row. Without a clip, closing a long part with several Tenso connectors takes more force and the parts must line up more exactly. The Lamello 145436 clips fit onto the Tenso P-14 just before glue-up.

Where It Fits

Tenso P-14 is a self-clamping glueing connector for materials from 16 mm (about 5/8 inch) thickness, used in P-System grooves cut with a Lamello Zeta P2 biscuit joiner or on a CNC machine. It is always used with glue, works at angles from 22.5 to 180 degrees, and leaves no visible fastener. Shops that use Tenso P-14 in volume buy clips by the box so every connector can go in with a clip, which helps on long mitres, large panels and parts with many connectors.

Assembly Tips
