The Lamello 145425S is a Tenso P-14 starter set with 300 connector pairs and preload clips. It is a practical way to bring clamp-free, invisible mitre and butt joints into a shop that already cuts P-System grooves, or one that is adding the system.

How It Works

The connector sits in a P-System groove. The groove is cut with a Lamello Zeta P2 biscuit joiner (corded or cordless) fitted with a P-System cutter, or on a CNC machine. Apply glue, press the parts together and the Tenso pulls the joint tight on its own, with no clamps, presses or tape. Tenso is always used with glue, and the joint is invisible from outside. The preload clip is inserted shortly before assembly. It preloads the connector spring so less force is needed to close the joint, and it increases lateral tolerance, which makes it easier to assemble larger parts with several connectors in a row.

Where It Fits

Lamello rates the Tenso P-14 for materials from 16 mm (about 5/8 inch) thickness, for mitres and other joints at angles from 22.5 to 180 degrees. It suits cabinet carcasses, counters, wall panels, pillar cladding, sideboards and mitred furniture parts.

Assembly Tips

Use sharp cutters so the grooves are clean and to size. Dry-fit the parts before glue goes on, and mark which groove pairs with which. Insert the preload clips just before assembly, apply glue to the joint faces, then bring the parts together in one smooth push. Wipe off squeeze-out while it is still wet. Keep connectors in their box in a dry place until they are needed.
