The Sia 1546.3150.0080 is a 6 inch (150 mm) Siaspeed 1950 hook and loop sanding disc in 80 grit with the 57-hole S-Performance pattern, sold 100 discs per box. Siaspeed 1950 is Sia’s paper abrasive for high stock removal, good surface quality and long life.

Where 80 Grit Fits
Use 80 after 40 or as the starting grit on most filler work. Follow with 120 or 150 and then 180 or 220 before primer, without skipping more than one grit at a time.

Tips for Longer Disc Life
Let the abrasive do the work and keep pressure light and even, especially with a coarse grit that can dig in quickly. Keep the pad flat to avoid gouging edges, and clean the surface between grits so loose grit does not scratch the next step. Change the disc when it stops cutting, and store boxes flat in a dry place. Check that the hook and loop pad on your sander is clean and not worn, since a tired pad lets discs fly off or wrinkle.
