Sia 3817.0427.0220 Siaspeed 1950 6 Inch Disc, 220 Grit
The Sia 3817.0427.0220 is a 6 inch (150 mm) Siaspeed 1950 hook and loop sanding disc in 220 grit with a 49-hole Festool pattern, sold 100 discs per box. It is made for Festool 6 inch sanders, with the holes matched to the pad for dust extraction. Sia uses an open coating from 220 to 600 grit to reduce clogging.

Where 220 Grit Fits
220 grit is a common final grit on bare wood before stain or finish, and a standard step for sanding primer filler before topcoat. Work up from 120 or 150 to 180, then finish with 220. This disc is stocked in 120, 150, 180, 220 and 320 grit, so a full sequence can run on one sander.
Who Uses It
Cabinet and furniture shops, finishers, renovators and automotive refinishers use Siaspeed discs on wood, paint, primer, filler and composites. Sia rates the 1950 line for high stock removal and long life.
Tips for Longer Disc Life
Keep the pad flat and pressure light, and let the disc cut. Line the holes up with the pad when you fit a new disc, and run with extraction connected so dust clears and the disc stays cool. Vacuum between grits so loose grit does not scratch the next step, and change the disc as soon as it stops cutting.
