Sia 6783.7705.0500 Siaspeed 1950 5 Inch Disc, 500 Grit
The Sia 6783.7705.0500 is a 5 inch Siaspeed 1950 hook and loop sanding disc in 500 grit, sold 100 discs per box. Siaspeed 1950 is sia Abrasives’ all-round line for lacquer, hard and soft wood, primer filler, body filler, solid surface material and plastics. This 500 grit disc is suited to fine sanding of primer filler, preparing paint and lacquer surfaces and light scuffing.

Where 500 Grit Fits
500 follows 400 and gives a finer scratch under paint or clear. Step to 600 for the final pass before topcoat. Do not skip more than one grit at a time. Each step should fully remove the scratches from the step before, or they will show through the finish later.

Automotive refinishers, cabinet and furniture shops, millwork shops and solid surface fabricators use the Sia 6783.7705.0500 on 5 inch random orbital sanders. It fits any 5 inch hook and loop pad. Because this disc has no holes, it suits sanders without through-pad extraction, or jobs where you want the full abrasive face in contact.
Tips for Better Results
At this grit, the finish matters more than the cut. Use light pressure and slow, overlapping passes. Clean the surface between grits and check it under good light. A guide coat helps show low spots and leftover scratches. Change discs before they load up, as a loaded disc can leave marks in soft finishes. Store boxes flat, dry and away from heat.
