The Sia 6783.7705.0600 is a 5 inch Siaspeed 1950 hook and loop sanding disc in 600 grit, sold 100 discs per box. Siaspeed 1950 is sia Abrasives’ all-round line for lacquer, hard and soft wood, primer filler, body filler, solid surface material and plastics. This 600 grit disc is suited to final sanding before paint or clear coat, de-nibbing and smoothing between finish coats.

Where 600 Grit Fits
600 is a common last step before topcoat and a good grit for de-nibbing dust in a finish. For refining clear coat before polishing, step on to 1000 and 1500. Do not skip more than one grit at a time. Each step should fully remove the scratches from the step before, or they will show through the finish later.

Automotive refinishers, cabinet and furniture shops, millwork shops and solid surface fabricators use the Sia 6783.7705.0600 on 5 inch random orbital sanders. It fits any 5 inch hook and loop pad. Because this disc has no holes, it suits sanders without through-pad extraction, or jobs where you want the full abrasive face in contact.
Tips for Better Results
At this grit, the finish matters more than the cut. Use light pressure and slow, overlapping passes. Clean the surface between grits and check it under good light. A guide coat helps show low spots and leftover scratches. Change discs before they load up, as a loaded disc can leave marks in soft finishes. Store boxes flat, dry and away from heat.
