The Sia 8443.7842.0100 is a 6 inch (150 mm) Siaspeed 1950 sanding disc in 100 grit with an 81-hole pattern, sold 100 discs per box. Siaspeed 1950 is Sia’s paper abrasive for high stock removal, good surface quality and long life on paint, primer, filler, lacquer, wood and composites.

Where 100 Grit Fits

Use 100 to shape and level filler and to flatten rough wood. Follow with 120 or 150, then 180 before primer or finish, so the deeper 100 grit scratches are fully removed.

Tips for Longer Disc Life

Use light, even pressure and let the abrasive cut. Keep the pad flat to avoid rounding edges, and clean the surface between grits so loose particles from a coarser step do not leave stray scratches. Change the disc as soon as it stops cutting; a worn disc only polishes and builds heat. Store boxes flat in a dry place so the paper stays flat.
