The VSM 127437 is a 5 inch, 40 grit ceramic flap disc with a 5/8-11 threaded hub and an angled Type 29 shape. The hub threads straight onto the angle grinder spindle, so no extra flange or nut is needed.

How It Works

Ceramic grain fractures as it wears, exposing fresh cutting edges, so the disc keeps cutting through its life instead of glazing. Tips for Best Results

Hold the grinder at about 15 to 25 degrees to the work and keep it moving. Let the grit cut rather than forcing it. Follow 40 grit with 60 or 80 when you need a smoother blend. Never run the disc above its rated speed, always use the guard, and wear eye, face and hand protection. Keep separate discs for stainless and carbon steel to avoid cross-contamination. Store discs in a dry place, away from heat and solvents, and inspect each disc for damage before mounting it.
