Where 150 Grit Fits

150 is a medium-fine grit that balances stock removal with a smooth surface. Use it after 80 or 120 to remove coarser scratches, then finish with 180. Typical jobs include surface preparation, finishing, blending and deburring.

Tips for Longer Belt Life

Check the arrow on the inside of the belt and install it in the direction shown so the joint does not catch. Track the belt so it runs centred before you touch the work. Keep the sander moving and let its weight do the cutting; leaning on it builds heat and glazes the grain. Clean a loaded belt with an abrasive cleaning stick, and hang spare belts in a dry place so they stay flat.
