The Festool 500312 is the CT-W CT Wings vacuum clamping nozzle, a clamp that uses the suction of a Festool CT mobile dust extractor to hold a workpiece in place. It works like a third hand when you need one hand free for scribing, marking or fastening.

How It Works

Connect the Festool 500312 to the extractor hose, place it on the surface and swivel the wings over the part you want to hold. Suction pulls the nozzle down and the wings hold the workpiece. Festool rates it for short-term holding only, on stable, dry, level, smooth and airtight surfaces, both horizontal and vertical.

Who Uses It

Installers, finish carpenters and cabinet fitters use CT Wings to hold curtain rails, spirit levels, straightedges and light substructures while they mark or fix them, often saving a second person on the job.

Tips for Safe Use

Clean the surface and the sealing ring before you clamp, because dust breaks the seal. Stay under the 3 kg load limit and never use it to hold anything overhead where a drop could hurt someone. Do not rely on it for cutting or machining, since it is meant for short-term holding.
