Lamello 145025 E20-L Self-Clamping Connectors

The Lamello 145025 is a box of 400 Lamello E20-L self-clamping connectors, plastic connectors made for surface joints. They are tapped into a standard 4 mm Lamello groove, and their inclined ribs pull the two parts together as they go in, so the joint often needs no clamps.

How It Works

Lamello recommends the E20-L for surface joints such as picture frames, plinths and panel extensions. Cut the groove into both parts at the same setting, apply glue, then tap the connector in with a few hammer blows. The ribs draw the joint tight as the connector seats, and Lamello notes the glue does not need to dry before you carry on working. That makes it a useful gluing aid in the shop and on site.

Who Uses It

Cabinet makers, kitchen installers, shopfitters and frame makers use E20 connectors where clamps are awkward or slow, such as long plinths, panel extensions and assemblies on site. The 400 box is a practical size for regular shop use.

Working Tips

Cut a test joint in scrap to confirm the groove setting. Check that the parts meet the minimum width and thickness before you start. Many installers keep a box of E20-L and a box of E20-H together, so the right connector is on hand for surface or edge joints. Store the Lamello 145025 dry, in its box.
