Sia 5014.2229.0220 Siaspeed 1950 PSA Roll, 220 Grit
The Sia 5014.2229.0220 is a 1950 Siaspeed self-adhesive sanding roll in 220 grit, 2-3/4 inch wide by 25 yards long. The pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) back lets you tear off a strip, press it onto a hand block or sanding board and start sanding. Siaspeed 1950 is sia Abrasives’ all-round line for body filler, primer filler, lacquer, wood, solid surface material and plastics.

Where 220 Grit Fits
On this roll, 220 grit is used for final primer preparation, smoothing filler edges and blending before paint. Follow with 320 for a finer surface. Work through the grits in order and make sure each step removes the scratches from the one before. A roll lets you cut exactly the length your block needs, so there is less waste than with pre-cut sheets.
Who Uses It
Auto body and collision shops use the Sia 5014.2229.0220 on long boards and hand blocks for flattening filler and primer. Cabinet shops, furniture finishers and solid surface fabricators use it for hand sanding edges, flat panels and spots a machine cannot reach.
Tips for Use and Storage
Clean the block face before applying a new strip so the adhesive grips evenly and the paper sits flat. Press the strip down from one end to the other to push out air. Sand with long, even strokes and let the abrasive cut instead of pressing hard. Change to a fresh strip when the cut slows. Keep the roll in its box, away from heat and moisture, so the adhesive stays tacky.
