Sia 6783.7705.0100 Siaspeed 1950 5 Inch Disc, 100 Grit
The Sia 6783.7705.0100 is a 5 inch Siaspeed 1950 hook and loop sanding disc in 100 grit, sold 100 discs per box. Siaspeed 1950 is sia Abrasives’ all-round line for lacquer, hard and soft wood, primer filler, body filler, solid surface material and plastics. This 100 grit disc is suited to blending body filler, smoothing wood after 80 grit and keying old finishes before recoating.

Where 100 Grit Fits
100 is a working grit for shaping and blending. It follows 80 and leads into 120 or 150. On wood it is often the first grit when the surface is already flat. Do not skip more than one grit at a time. Each step should fully remove the scratches from the step before, or they will show through the finish later.
Who Uses It
Automotive refinishers, cabinet and furniture shops, millwork shops and solid surface fabricators use the Sia 6783.7705.0100 on 5 inch random orbital sanders. It fits any 5 inch hook and loop pad. Because this disc has no holes, it suits sanders without through-pad extraction, or jobs where you want the full abrasive face in contact.
Tips for Better Results
Use light, even pressure and let the abrasive cut. Keep the pad flat to avoid rounding edges, and wipe or vacuum the surface between grits so loose grit does not leave stray scratches. A pencil guide coat across the surface shows when the previous scratch is gone. Replace the disc when it stops cutting evenly. Store boxes flat and dry.
