Sia 7285.4325.0240 Siaflex 1948 6 Inch Disc, 240 Grit
The Sia 7285.4325.0240 is a 1948 siaflex 6 inch (150 mm) hook and loop sanding disc in P240 grit, packed 100 discs to a box. Siaflex 1948 is Sia’s flexible all-round line for wet and dry sanding, and this very fine grit is a good choice for sanding primer filler and keying lacquer.

Where It Fits in the Grit Sequence
P240 is used for fine sanding of primer filler after P180 or P220, and for sanding between coats. The open coat helps the disc keep cutting on soft primers. Follow with P280 or P320 before base coat or top coat.

Sia lists 1948 siaflex for automotive refinishing, aerospace and building interior work, with use in truck, rail, marine and kitchen shops as well. It sands body filler, primer filler, paint, old and new lacquer, plastics, GRP and composites, aluminum, steel and wood. Run the Sia 7285.4325.0240 on a random orbital or orbital sander with a 6 inch hook and loop pad.
Tips for Best Results
Keep pressure light and let the abrasive cut, so the disc stays flat and the scratch stays even. Do not skip more than one grit step at a time. When wet sanding, keep the surface wet and wipe off the slurry often to check progress. Replace the disc as soon as it stops cutting cleanly, because a worn disc only polishes and builds heat. Store boxes flat in a dry place so the discs do not curl.
