Lamello 145010 C-20 Solid Surface Biscuits

The Lamello 145010 is a box of 250 Lamello C-20 solid surface biscuits, translucent plastic joining plates for acrylic solid surface and mineral composite panels. Unlike wood biscuits, they do not swell and do not show through thin white or light-coloured material, so the joint stays clean and even.

How It Works

Cut the grooves with a biscuit joiner at the No. 20 setting, apply the adhesive recommended for the solid surface material, and set the C-20 plates into the grooves. The plates align the two parts and keep the faces flush while the adhesive cures. Because the plastic does not take up moisture, the joint does not swell or telegraph through the surface later.

Who Uses It

Countertop fabricators, kitchen and bath installers and shopfitters use C-20 plates for countertop seams, vanity tops, wall cladding and other solid surface work where the joint has to stay invisible. Because the plates do not swell, they also suit wet areas.

Working Tips

Clamp a straightedge or use the joiner fence so the grooves line up exactly on both parts, and cut test grooves in an offcut first. Keep the groove and the plate free of dust before adhesive goes in. Follow the solid surface maker’s instructions for adhesive and cure time, and store the Lamello 145010 in its box so the plates stay clean. Plan seam locations away from heat sources and high-stress spots where the layout allows.
