Description

Edge SD116-G2 Delano G2 Safety Glasses

The Edge SD116-G2 is the Delano G2 safety glasses with a black frame and smoke lenses, a dependable choice for bright-light environments. The smoke lens reduces glare and blocks intense sunlight while keeping colours true, so it is a good everyday pair for outdoor work.

Features and Specifications

  • Model: Edge Delano G2, part SD116-G2
  • Frame: durable nylon composite with black temples
  • Temple tips: soft thermoplastic rubber (TPR) for a secure, no-slip fit
  • Lens: smoke, 16% light transmission, true colour perception
  • UV protection: blocks 99.9% of UVA, UVB and UVC
  • Standards: ANSI Z87.1+2010 and Military Ballistic MCEPS GL-PD 10-12

Choosing the Right Lens

A smoke lens lowers overall brightness without shifting colours, which makes it a good fit for outdoor work in direct sun and for bright, reflective settings. It is not the right choice for dim indoor areas or night work, where a clear lens lets in more light.

Who Uses It

The Edge SD116-G2 is a good fit for construction, landscaping, outdoor maintenance, driving between sites and general industrial work in bright conditions. Its lightweight build makes it comfortable over a long day in the sun.

Care and Fit Tips

Rinse grit and dust off the lenses before wiping, then dry them with a soft, clean cloth. Store the glasses in a case or pouch, not loose in a toolbox or lens-down on a bench. Replace any pair with a cracked, pitted or badly scratched lens, or a frame that no longer holds its shape, since damage can reduce both clarity and impact protection. A clean, well-fitted pair is also more likely to stay on all shift.
