Edge TV166VS Taven Safety Glasses

The Edge TV166VS is the Taven safety glasses with a black frame, hi-vis yellow TPR accents and Vapor Shield anti-fog smoke lenses, built for durability and comfort in demanding work. The lenses are triple-dipped in an anti-scratch coating for long-lasting clarity and abrasion resistance.

• Frame: flexible, impact-resistant composite
• Accents: hi-vis yellow thermoplastic rubber (TPR) for grip and visibility
• Lens: smoke, 16% light transmission, Vapor Shield anti-fog
• Coating: triple-dipped anti-scratch
• UV protection: blocks 99.9% of UVA, UVB and UVC
• Standard: ANSI Z87.1+

Choosing the Right Lens

The smoke lens is made for bright outdoor conditions, and the anti-fog coating keeps the view clear in high humidity and fast-paced work. To protect the lens coatings, Edge recommends cleaning only with a dry, soft cloth. For dim or indoor work, a clear lens model is the better pick.

Who Uses It

The Edge TV166VS suits construction, outdoor work, manufacturing and industrial sites, especially where hi-vis PPE is the norm. The yellow accents also make the glasses easy to spot when set down on a bench or in the truck.

Care and Fit Tips

Keep a few spare pairs at the tool crib or job box so nobody works without eye protection. Clean the lenses with water and a soft cloth instead of a shirt sleeve, which drags grit across the surface. Retire a pair once the lens is scratched enough to blur detail or the frame loosens. Never use solvents or shop towels with grit on them, as they can damage lens coatings.
