Edge SK117 Kazbek Safety Glasses – Silver & Black Frame, Silver Mirror Lenses

Description

Edge SK117 Kazbek Safety Glasses

The Edge SK117 is the Kazbek safety glasses with a silver and black frame and silver mirror lenses, made for protection and clear vision in bright, high-glare environments. The smoke base tint with a silver mirror coating allows 13% light transmission, which cuts glare and visible brightness.

Features and Specifications

• Model: Edge Kazbek, part SK117
• Frame: durable nylon with silver and black accents
• Temple tips: soft thermoplastic rubber (TPR) for a secure, no-slip fit
• Lens: silver mirror on a smoke base, 13% light transmission
• UV protection: blocks 99.9% of UVA, UVB and UVC
• Standards: ANSI Z87.1+2010 and Military Ballistic MCEPS GL-PD 10-12

Choosing the Right Lens

A mirror lens on a dark base lets very little light through, so it suits the brightest conditions: open sun, snow, water, concrete and other reflective surfaces. It is too dark for indoor or low-light work, where a clear lens is the safer choice.

Who Uses It

Construction, roofing, paving, tactical, industrial and outdoor crews use the Edge SK117 when they spend long hours in full sun. The TPR temple tips keep the frame in place in active or hot work.

Care and Fit Tips

Fit matters as much as the lens. The glasses should sit close to the face without pressing on the nose or temples, and stay put when you look down. Wipe the lenses only when clean or wet, store them in a case, and swap them out when scratches start to affect what you can see. Try them on with your hard hat and earmuffs to check that everything fits together comfortably.
