Description

Edge SLAP119 Salita Safety Glasses

The Edge SLAP119 is the Salita safety glasses with a black frame and Aqua Precision red mirror lenses. Inspired by the healthcare field but tough enough for the job site, the Salita gives blade-style protection in a lightweight, loupe-compatible design.

Features and Specifications

• Model: Edge Salita, part SLAP119
• Frame: flexible nylon composite, blade-style wraparound, anti-slip
• Nosepiece: adjustable thermoplastic rubber (TPR) for a custom fit
• Lens: Aqua Precision red mirror, scratch resistant, reduces glare in bright light
• UV protection: blocks 99.9% of UVA, UVB and UVC
• Loupes: loupe compatible
• Standard: ANSI Z87.1+

Choosing the Right Lens

A mirror lens on a dark base lets very little light through, so it suits the brightest conditions: open sun, snow, water, concrete and other reflective surfaces. It is too dark for indoor or low-light work, where a clear lens is the safer choice.

Who Uses It

The Edge SLAP119 crosses over between healthcare, dental and lab work, where loupe compatibility matters, and construction or outdoor jobs that need glare control. The adjustable nosepiece helps it fit a wide range of faces.

Care and Fit Tips

Keep a few spare pairs at the tool crib or job box so nobody works without eye protection. Clean the lenses with water and a soft cloth instead of a shirt sleeve, which drags grit across the surface. Retire a pair once the lens is scratched enough to blur detail or the frame loosens. Never use solvents or shop towels with grit on them, as they can damage lens coatings.
