The Festool 577705 is the BP 18 Li 3.0 Ergo-I, an 18 volt, 3.0 Ah lithium-ion battery made for Festool compact cordless sanders.
Its slim, ergonomic shape keeps the sander light and balanced in the hand, which matters on long sanding sessions, vertical surfaces and overhead work.

Compatibility

This battery is made for the Festool ETSC 125, RTSC 400 and DTSC 400 cordless sanders. Festool states that it is not compatible with its other cordless tools, so check your tool model before you order. For other Festool 18V tools, choose a standard 18V battery pack instead.

Cabinet makers, furniture finishers, painters and renovation crews use the ETSC 125, RTSC 400 and DTSC 400 sanders for precise sanding where a cord gets in the way: on ladders, inside cabinets, on site in finished homes and on large parts that are hard to walk around. Care Tips

Charge the battery on a Festool 18V charger and let a hot pack cool before charging. Store it in a dry place at room temperature, and avoid leaving it in a freezing truck or in direct sun. For long storage, keep the pack partly charged rather than empty. Keep the contacts clean, and do not use a pack with a cracked or damaged housing. Read the operating instructions and the battery transport information before shipping or travelling with lithium-ion packs.
