Tips for Long Pad Life

Check the hook and loop face before each job. When the StickFix hooks wear down, discs start to shift or fly off and the scratch pattern suffers. Brush dust off the pad, store it flat and away from heat, and never run the sander without an abrasive fitted, because the hook face wears quickly against the work. Festool also advises that pad foam becomes brittle with age, so check the foam for wear before use.
