Sia 0020.3796.01 T2275 Foam Sanding Pad, 800 Grit

The Sia 0020.3796.01 is a sia T2275 foam-backed sanding pad in 800 grit, extra fine, sized 4.5 x 5.5 x 3/16 inch and supplied 20 pads per box. It is made for the last steps before finishing: de-nibbing clear coat, smoothing sealer and final scuffing on contours and edges where a flat block will not follow the shape.

Where 800 Grit Fits

800 grit leaves a very smooth scratch pattern, ideal ahead of polishing or a final coat. Use it after your finest disc or sheet step, on the profiles, edges and curves a machine cannot reach. The thin foam core holds the abrasive flat to the surface without creasing, so the scratch stays even across shaped parts.

Tips for Use and Care

Use light pressure and short, even strokes; at 800 grit the goal is to level, not to remove material. When sanding wet, add a drop of soap to the water and rinse the pad often to clear the slurry. Wipe the surface and check it under good light before the next coat. Let a wet pad dry flat before storing it, and replace it once the abrasive face stops cutting evenly.
