The Dynabrade 56197 is a 6 inch (152 mm) non-vacuum disc pad with a hook-face short nap surface for hook and loop abrasive discs. It is made from soft-density urethane and fits random orbital sanders with a 5/16-24 spindle. The soft density lets the pad flex and conform, which makes it a good choice for smooth finishes on contoured surfaces.

Fitting the Pad

Thread the pad onto a sander with a 5/16-24 spindle and snug it by hand. Check that it runs true before you start. Use it with 6 inch hook and loop discs. Press each disc on centered and flat so the edge does not overhang, and peel discs off by the edge to avoid pulling the hooks. Always confirm the pad’s speed rating is at or above the sander’s free speed.

Care and Replacement
