The Dynabrade 92605 is a 5 inch (127 mm) DynaBrite surface conditioning disc in medium grade, with a scalloped edge, a hook-face back and a vacuum-ready design, sold 10 discs per box. It is made from non-woven nylon fibre coated with abrasive grain with an open structure, so it blends and cleans the surface with controlled material removal while minimizing heat buildup and surface damage.

Medium grade is the more aggressive of the two DynaBrite scalloped discs IBEX stocks. Use it for deburring, removing oxidation and light rust, blending tool marks and preparing metal and composite parts before painting or coating. For a finer, more uniform finish after medium, step to the fine grade disc.

Fabrication shops, automotive repair, aerospace facilities and maintenance departments use the Dynabrade 92605 on 5 inch sanders with a hook and loop pad, including vacuum sanders. It is a common choice for surface prep on metal and composite parts where a coated abrasive would cut too deep or leave a coarse scratch.

Tips for Better Results

Run the disc with light pressure and keep it moving; non-woven abrasive works best when it can flex. Too much pressure crushes the open web and glazes the surface. Keep the hook face of the pad clean so the disc holds firmly. Use a vacuum sander or dust extraction where possible. Replace the disc when the web is worn down or no longer leaves an even finish.
