Dynabrade X62H Dynorbital Extreme 6 Inch Random Orbital Sander

The Dynabrade X62H is a 6 inch Dynorbital Extreme palm-style random orbital air sander with a 3/32 inch orbit, a 0.3 HP motor and a rated speed of 12,000 RPM. It is a non-vacuum model with a hook-face pad, made for fine finishing on wood, metal and composites.

Where It Fits

The 3/32 inch orbit leaves a fine scratch for final sanding, sanding between coats and prep before paint. The motor is designed to hold its speed under load, which helps keep the finish consistent. Use 6 inch hook and loop discs and work up through the grits one grade at a time.

Care and Air Supply Tips

Run the sander on clean, dry air and follow Dynabrade’s instructions for air pressure and lubrication. Drain the compressor tank and line filters regularly, since water and dirt in the air supply shorten the life of any air tool. Start the sander on the work, keep the pad flat and use light pressure so the random orbit can do its job. Check the pad face for wear, and replace a worn pad before it starts to tear abrasive discs or leave uneven scratches.
