The Dynabrade 54325 is a 5 inch (127 mm) non-vacuum disc pad with a hook-face short nap surface for hook and loop abrasive discs. It is made from medium-density urethane and fits random orbital sanders with a 5/16-24 spindle. The medium density gives a balance of flexibility and firmness for smooth, swirl-free finishes on flat and lightly contoured work.

Fitting the Pad

Thread the pad onto a sander with a 5/16-24 spindle and snug it by hand. Check that it runs true before you start. Use it with 5 inch hook and loop discs. Press each disc on centered and flat so the edge does not overhang, and peel discs off by the edge to avoid pulling the hooks. Always confirm the pad’s speed rating is at or above the sander’s free speed.

Care and Replacement

Replace the pad when the hooks wear and discs start to slip or fly off, or when the edge is torn or the face is no longer flat. Store spare pads flat and away from heat.
